Urdu Subtitle Generator for Roman Urdu and English Subtitles
Upload a video or voiceover in Urdu, Hindi or English and get timed subtitles. Choose Roman Urdu or English for the text, edit it, and download.
Roman Urdu subtitles, not Urdu script
Lafzaly writes subtitles in Roman Urdu (Urdu in English letters) or in English. It does not write Urdu in Nastaliq script. Most Pakistani creators caption short videos in Roman Urdu because it is quick to read on a phone and matches how people type in comments. If you need Urdu script, this is not the right tool. See Roman Urdu vs Urdu script to decide.
How to make Urdu subtitles
- Upload an MP4, MOV, WebM, MP3 or WAV file of up to 4 minutes.
- Choose the subtitle language. Pick Roman Urdu for Urdu speech, or English to translate Urdu speech into English subtitles.
- Edit. Fix names and slang, and adjust timing line by line.
- Export. Download SRT or VTT, copy the transcript, or render a video with animated captions.
Mixed Urdu and English speech
Pakistani creators often switch between Urdu and English in one sentence. Lafzaly keeps English words in English and writes the Urdu parts in Roman Urdu, so lines like "Is offer mein 50% discount milega" come out the way you would type them.
Check the result before you post
