Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Lafzaly ("we", "us") collects when you use our website and services, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Lafzaly you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you sign up we collect your email address and a password. Passwords are stored only as a salted hash (bcrypt), never in readable form. We also store your account role and subscription status.
Content you provide
- Videos and audio. Files you upload for captioning are processed to produce a transcript. See section 3 for how long they are kept.
- Caption history. Topics you enter, the platform and tone you choose, the captions generated, and captions you save.
Usage records
For each video job we record the file name, duration, status (processing, completed or failed), any error message, and a timestamp. We use these records to enforce daily limits and to diagnose problems. We do not store the transcript of your video on our servers; it is returned to your browser.
Payment information
Payments for Lafzaly Pro are handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your card number. We store your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan, and subscription dates.
Cookies and similar technologies
- Session cookie. A strictly necessary, HTTP-only cookie keeps you logged in for up to 30 days.
- Advertising cookies. See section 5.
2. How we use information
- To provide the service: transcribe your files, generate captions, and show your history.
- To enforce plan limits and prevent abuse.
- To process subscriptions and send service-related messages.
- To maintain security, fix bugs and improve the service.
- To display advertising on our public pages (section 5).
3. Uploaded media and retention
To process a video, your browser sends the file to our server in small parts. We store it temporarily on Vercel Blob storage, send the audio to our transcription provider, and delete the temporary files as soon as processing finishes, whether it succeeds or fails. If a deletion fails or an upload is abandoned, temporary files may remain until they are cleaned up. Please do not upload content that you do not want processed by the third-party providers listed below.
Account data and caption history are kept until you delete them or ask us to delete your account.

These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Advertising
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info. Learn more about how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Where required by law, such as in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, we ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies.
6. Your choices and rights
You can edit or delete saved captions inside the app. To access, correct, export or delete your account and associated data, email us from your account address at usmanghazanfar001@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honour valid requests.
7. Security
We use HTTPS, hashed passwords and HTTP-only session cookies, and we re-check your account in our database on each request. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
Lafzaly is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International use
Our providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the date above, and for material changes we will take reasonable steps to let you know.
